Iconic player's grade collectors piece.
This stunning instrument has had the same owner for three decades. Prior to that it was owned by Ray Dempsey, a Jazz musician very active as a live player and session musician in the 40s to 70s. There have been no changes made by the current owner so we can only list its story as known.
The (bridge) pickup we removed has the PAT sticker as pictured. We haven't removed the loom. The original bridge and tailpiece are not present, the current owner was told it originally had a Bigsby, replaced for what it currently has. There has been a repair on the underside of the body which is very stable and runs to the input jack. The machine heads are in good shape and appear to be original. The frets are very low with some playing wear. We have agreed to leave as is so sold as seen, we have luthiers available here for amendments etc. Pictured hard case supplied.
We have seen this model for sale anywhere between £5k and £12k and beyond. This is priced to reflect changes and repairs. The neck pick up "purrs" and the bridge pickups has a clear strident tone. The guitar is capable of all manner of tones in between.
