Selmer Mark VI Classic Tenor Saxophone 1963 Vintage
Selmer Mark VI Classic Tenor Saxophone 1963 Vintage
Commission sale item. Shop collection only.
Offered for sale is this Selmer Mk VI tenor saxophone. The Mark VI is probably the most famous saxophone ever produced. This tenor was made by Selmer in Paris in 1963 (serial number 108xxx), making it one of the more desirable earlier horns in the Mark VI production run.
This horn is in very good condition for its age. The lacquer appears to be original with some wear in the usual spots, but otherwise well preserved. In addition, the blue paint in the "S" logo on the octave key on the crook is largely intact.
The current owner has had this horn for over 20 years and has looked after it. The sax has just been serviced and is ready to play. It comes with a high quality Protec hard case in good condition, no mouthpiece is supplied and we invite you to visit to try this amazing saxophone for yourself with your chosen mouthpiece (s). Superb tone! Indoor photos for now, outdoor pics to follow.
